About us
"Belgian Brewers" is one of the oldest professional associations in the world still residing in its guild house. The federation is active on the national, international, inter-professional and professional level.
Our services
Inform, support and advise breweries established in Belgium on issues related to the sector of Belgian beer and by providing in due time correct information to members or public bodies in order to anticipate effectively problems, incidents and challenges.
Membership
Amongst others,
- the brewery has to be active in Belgium for at least 5 years already,
- they have to brew at least 75% in their own brew installation,
- they have to deliver proof that the person in charge has a diploma in brewing or other certificate related to beer, brewmaster diploma
- sponsorship by two breweries, members of the Belgian Brewers' Council (with written agreement and duly signed by the sponsors)
- dispose of a registration number by the Central Administration of Customs & Excise and the date the registration has been deliverd
- the approval number of the FASFC, Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain + indication if the brewery has a recognized self-control system + the date of the last inspection by the FASFC
